Tips to Increase Driving Visibility at Night

Driving at night can be a bit more difficult than driving during the day, and with daylight savings a things of the past you may find yourself driving when it's dark a lot more often. One of the major issues with nighttime driving is visibility. Brake lights and headlights seem even brighter and make it more difficult for you to see the road. Here are some ways to increase your visibility when driving at night.

  • Make sure your headlights are angled correctly. Over time your headlights can move positions and badly aimed headlights can blind other drivers. You can adjust your lights yourself fairly easily.
  • Clean your windshield and headlights. After a while your headlights become foggy from dirt and debris on the road. Cleaning your headlights increases the amount of light that comes through them.
  • Dim the lights on your dashboard for better visibility. If your interior lights are too bright they will hinder your ability to see things on the outside of your vehicle.
